Changing system default folder icon

Step 1: Open the "Change default folder icon" dialog window

Click "Tools" button (Main window, pos.15) and select "Change default folder icon..." (you also may use Ctrl+K hotkey). After the notification message the "Change default folder icon" dialog window will appear.

Step 2: Select an icon which you want to use as the system default folder icon

Pick an icon, which you want to use as the system default folder icon, from the icon list (Change Default Folder Icon window, pos.1). Click the "Browse for icons..." button (Change Default Folder Icon window, pos.2) to open icon files, icon libraries or icon resources.

You can drag-and-drop any file into the "Change default folder icon" window to extract all icons from the dropped file.

Step 3: Apply the selected icon as the system default folder icon

Click the "OK" button (Change Default Folder Icon window, pos.5) to apply the selected icon as the system default folder icon. If you want to restore default folder icon back to system default, click the "Restore default folder icon" button (Change Default Folder Icon window, pos.4).

Important note: you must have administrator rights on this computer to change default folder icon.
