InTouch Lock

Devices / Drive Lock

Lock CD/DVD Drives:
Set a check mark near a letter of a drive you want to lock and press the APPLY button.

How it works?
Locking CD/DVD drives in most cases blocks the button on a CD/DVD drive and makes it unresponsive to clicking. A user cannot open a drive to insert a disk.

Hot-swap devices:
Block access to new plugged USB Flash devices - detects all user attempts to plug USB Flash device (or similar) to a USB port (or into a card reader) of the computer and lock this device immediately.

When this option is enabled, connecting the following devices to the computer will be prohibited:

- USB Flash drives
- Memory Stick cards
- Secure Digital (SD) cards
- MultiMedia cards (MMC)
- xD-Picture cards
- SmartMedia cards
- CompactFlash cards
- Floppy disk drives
- Tape drives

Block access to new plugged Hard Disks - detects all user attempts to plug a Hard Disk drive to a USB, IEEE 1394 (FireWire), SATA or SCSI ports of the computer and lock this device immediately. This option locks stand-alone hard disks as well as RAID.
Block access to new plugged CD/DVD/Blu-ray/HD-DVD R/RW - detects all user attempts to plug a disk drive or a disk recorder to a USB or SATA ports of the computer and lock this device immediately.

Blocked devices are shown in the system, but no one can access to them.

If a device is already connected, it will not be locked. Try not to disable and re-enable InTouch Lock protection when new device is connected and locked. After these operations, the device most likely will be unlocked. If you want to disable InTouch Lock protection, remove all devices first.

Locked devices cannot be safely removed from the system. Windows is unable to stop devices since they are locked. Unplug the devices physically from the ports.
