This page provides you the ability to lock any files and folders to prevent
write access to them.
Read-only files and folders can't be moved, renamed, deleted or modified, but
users are allowed to open them for reading and copy them into other locations.
To add a file to the list click the "Add file..." button. To add a folder
- click "Add folder...". Also, you can drag the selected files and folders
from Windows Explorer and drop them onto the list. If you remove the check-mark
from a file name, then this file or folder will not be locked out after you apply
changes.
You can use the "Read only" feature to prevent some kind
of viruses from infecting your executable files. Simple add the most important
and frequently used executable files into the "Files / Read only" list
and press the APPLY button.
Lock folders feature is only available on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003.
